Where Brides Go® Featured Engagements About Us: We love spending time with the kids! We enjoy camping, fishing, bowling, or almost anything outdoors. I am a retail supervisor and he works construction. Our engagement story: Ok well let's start off with how we met. A bunch of people from our workplace had went out on the town. He was there and I noticed his key chain. His son looked very familiar to me. We are both divorced parents. I was a room parent in my son's kindergarten class and his son Parker was also in that class. A couple weeks later I went to his house. We stayed up talking until the early am hours. So here we are four years later. His kids Dakota 13, Parker 11 (born 2 days before my son), and Jailey 4 she was 6 months when we met.) What really attracted me to him was the fact that he had full custody of his two boys. Not many men will take on that sort of task. My kids Tyler 11 and Autumn 7. |

And for the engagement. I had actually nagged him at 11pm the night before that he needs to figure out what he wanted because I was tired of waiting. He told me to be patient. The next evening all of us were planning on going out to dinner. So after I got off work I went to his house. This may sound so redneck, BUT as I was putting my beer away in his refrigerator I turned around to see him down on his knee with the ring box in hand. Being me I said "You bought that today" even though knowing he had been at work all day. He then said he couldn't believe I said that, then asked me again if I would marry him. We went to Wasabi and had a wonderful dinner that evening. He was the one telling everyone at the table that he had proposed to me. He is such a wonderful man and father. I'm such a lucky gal! |
