Our engagement story:

My husband and I have known each other since elementary school, and we went out for about a year in 2001 but we parted ways. He had joined the Marines and went back to Puerto Rico for his going away party in August 2 2008. We had kept in touch through a phone call or Facebook for the last 6 years or so. He had told me that he was due to be in Puerto Rico on the second or the third of August. Since I had not heard from him by the seventh, I decided to call him. We talked for about 10 minutes and decided to meet up the next day to go to the beach. When we saw each other again we could not even speak, we just looked at each other for hours. That same day he told me that he had lost me once but that it would never happen again. My response, show me the ring and you'll see. We got engaged on the tenth of august, by the sixteen I was flying out with him to North Carolina and we got married by law on the 18th . He is deploying for Afghanistan on 11/11/08 and is due back in eight months. We really want a religious wedding when he comes back.

We want a beautiful and intimate wedding. We want all the colors to be blues and browns, and we want it in The Rio Grande Plantation in Puerto Rico.
