Our engagement story:
Jeffrey and I have been dating for almost 4 years now. We are high school sweethearts. Our relationship has been tough but we have managed to get through it with the love that we share for each other. We were separated (by location) for a year and managed to keep our love strong. After he had been back for about a year, things were still going strong. I asked him that all he gave me for Christmas was something from his heart. Basically I was hoping he got it across that I didn't want him to spend a lot of money on me. About a week before Christmas he kept telling me that he couldn't wait to give me my present. My only thought was that it was something special and I was really excited. We decided to exchange gifts on Christmas morning. On Christmas eve I went over to his parents house and mingled with his family. We were lounging on the couch and he turned to me and said, "Ready for your Christmas present!" I told him no because I wanted to open it in the morning. He dragged into the basement and everything was dark. He flipped a switch and and a single beam of light focused a Christmas tree straight out of Charlie Brown's Christmas. If you don't know what this is, it is basically a stick with a few pine needles and a single red bulb on it. A letter sat next to the tree along with a ticket from one of the most special concerts we had gone to. The band sings our song. The letter went through saying he was the luckiest man in the world to have found someone like me, and the went to recite our song. After I finished reading the letter, with tears in my eye, I turned to him and he got down on one knee. When he asked me if I would marry him, I had known the answer was yes for a long time. We embraced in the most loving hug I had every felt from him. But one crucial item was missing. He turned and said, "Oh, I guess you want to see your ring?". He turned the red bulb around on the tree and there it was. We went back upstairs and his family congratulated us. I love this man with all my heart and he made this the best Christmas I have ever had. I hope there are many more to come for us.

Our wedding vision:
Our wedding is kind of still very in the making. He would like to have it in his hometown of Colorado Springs and I would like to have it in Omaha with all of my family. I think we have come to a close decision of having the ceremony in Colorado Springs and a big reception in Omaha. We just want to keep the wedding basic but elegant.
Check back in later for wedding details and pictures.
