About Us:
Jason and I were set up on a blind date by one of my co-workers who was one of his best friends. At first I was a little hesitant because he was 5 years older than me and it was a blind date! But I agreed. It was an amazing night. We had great conversations and there was definitely an attraction there! After that night we started dating regularly and within a month we were exclusively together, and we have been together ever since. We were seeing each other for about 7 months when we moved in together and another year later we got engaged!

We were at our cabin for a week of our summer vacation. I had a feeling that something was going on but I didn't think too much of it. We were enjoying the week together, doing different chores around the cabin, going fishing and spending the evenings curled up in front of the wood stove watching movies.

One late afternoon Jason asked me if I wanted to go for a walk to the lookout (a beautiful place at the top of a cliff that overlooks the forest and the ocean). He said that we would bring the binoculars to see if we could see any wildlife in the forest. So we walked up to my parents cabin which is near ours to get their binoculars. I knew where they were...in a bag in the spare room. However, when I went to get them Jason wouldn't let me in the room...and told me to look for them in the second spare room. (Jason had hidden the ring in the very bag that the binoculars were in!) Once he got the binoculars we left for the lookout.

We just walked and talked about the nice day and how beautiful the sky was as the sun started to go down. Once we got to the lookout we were just looking around and all of a sudden he started asking me if I knew how much he loved me. He was standing behind me with his chin laid on my shoulder and one arm around me just telling me how much he loved me and that he wanted more than anything to be with me forever. Then he pulled the ring box out of his pocket and opened it(he opened it upside down and the ring almost fell out of the box and down over the cliff but it didn't)! Then he asked me if I would marry him! I kept saying "Oh my God...Oh my God!" Then after a couple of minutes of crying I said YES!!! Nine days after we were engaged we found out that we were pregnant! Instant family!

We are having our wedding and reception at The Bella Vista in St. John's Newfoundland, Canada (where we are both from). Everything will be black and red. Very crisp and classic. The bridesmaid will be wearing black knee-length strapless dresses with red kitten heels, and the groomsmen will be wearing black pinstriped tuxes with black shirts and red ties. I will be wearing an ivory lace dress as well as our little flower girl. The ring bearer will be our son who will be wearing a pinstriped tux as well! I can't wait! It will be wonderful!
