Where Brides Go® Featured Engagements

Donna Fowler & Jason Denny

Wedding Location: Chambersburg, PA
Wedding Date: September 18, 2010

About Us:
We met on Match.com. The day we started talking was his first day on the site and my last day before my membership ran out. We lived an hour away from each but he traveled every weekend to see me for about 6 months until we decided to move in together. He works as a computer technician and I am a Medical Assistant.

Our engagement story:

It was June 17, 2009. We just finished closing on our first home. We had planned to go straight to the house as soon as all the paperwork and all that good stuff was done. When we got there, the realtor had forgotten to leave the key so we could get in. It wasn't a good way to start this out, we couldn't get in our house we just bought! We had to wait for a good 30 minutes before we could get in. I kept tell him I wanted to call his Dad to bring my daughter over so she could see the house. He kept telling me no, to wait so we could go in together by ourselves. So, we finally get in after waiting and at this point I'm already frustrated. I just wanted to get in there and start cleaning. So, we went in and walked around asking each other, "what did we just do." I went upstairs in the bathroom to change while he carried cleaning supplies in for me. He walked upstairs and stood in our bedroom starring at the closet talking about how it could be bigger. I told him I didn't care, I just wanted to clean. I had no clue what he was about to do. He looked at me and asked if I was ready to start a new chapter in our lives and hugged me. I still had my arms around him and I felt him getting closer to the floor so I let go and he got down on one knee, pulled out a ring box, opened it and asked me to marry him. I was speechless. I just looked at him and all I could say was, "Jason." He stood back up and gave me a kiss and a hug. He put the ring on my finger. It's funny because I really never did say yes or no. He just knew. Then afterwards I was curious who he told and how he kept in from me so of course I asked a bunch of questions. He told me he did not tell anyone because he wanted to do it on his own. He picked up the ring while my daughter and I was taking a nap a couple weekends before.(I was wondering why he was pushing for us to go to sleep that day and my daughter is 6 so she hardly ever takes a nap.) He actually hid the ring in his truck and I had no clue! He said there was a couple times ! I came close to finding it. It was a wonderful surprise!

Our wedding vision:

We are having a small church wedding with mostly just family. It's going to be a Fall theme with the colors cranberry, reds, oranges, and yellow. There will be only 2 bridesmaids, 2 groomsmen and my daughter as the flower girl.

Check back for wedding details and pictures.
We have invited this couple to feature their wedding with WherebridesGo.com!
